Introduction:
The Health Information Technology Department is currently
responsible for the training of undergraduate students in Health Information
Technology. Currently, undergraduate students are continuously studying in this
faculty since 2014. The admission of
students in the field of health information technology in a course and semester
takes place in the September. Teaching methods in a scientific, dynamic and
friendly environment and by creating a logical and intimate relationship between
the group and the student, so that the students, while learning scientific and
research skills, are ethical and responsible people. Currently, the faculty
members of the group consist of two people with a doctorate in health
information management, one person with a doctorate in medical informatics, one
with a doctorate in statistics, and two educational instructors (one with a
master's degree in health information technology and one with a doctorate in
health information management). In addition to teaching specialized courses in
health information technology, this group also organizes other related courses
including statistics, computers, mathematics, medical information and research
methods at different levels of study at the university level. The members of
this group are actively engaged in the educational and research fields of the
faculty. Three of these members are members of the faculty's research council
and two are members of the faculty's educational council. Also, one of the
members of this group is working as an editor and one as a statistical editor
in the journal of the Faculty of Medicine. The registries done at the faculty
level are also managed by the members of this group. Also, this group provides
statistical advice to professors and students for thesis and research projects
(at the university level). Also, the faculty members of this group are active
in holding educational workshops, journal clubs and seminars.
Goals:
1. Improving the quality of theoretical and practical
training of health information technology undergraduate students
2. Quantitative and qualitative improvement of research
activities in the health information technology group
3. Creation of graduate studies of health information technology
department
